Black Hair is not at all Boring
Whoever dares to wear black hair is also spoilt for choice. Reddish, dark brown or bluish undertones accentuate black hair in different ways. Whatever your colour choice, black hair requires a lot of care

Year after year, the colour black celebrates its comeback in the fall/winter fashion shows where it is one of the simpler choices. Women love their black dresses and fashion items. Black as a hair colour is however exceedingly demanding. Are the fringes straight? Have you paid enough attention to your make-up? Did you forget the hair cure for more lustre? Any other hair colour may be forgiving of such endearing inattentiveness but not black.
The Canadian model and New York it-girl Coco Rocha has accepted this challenge. In the fall she was still seen wearing red curls but meanwhile she has switched to shiny pitch-black hair after a short reddish black interim. The 22-year old Coco Rocha has a very beautiful smooth complexion and grey-green eyes. That makes her the ideal candidate for the flamboyant hair colour. She appears stylish, cool and sassy. Coco Rocha’s fantastic looks and her black offensive may well fill the appointment books of popular hair stylists for months and sell out black hair colouring kits.
Anna Netrebko shows her black hair in very different fashionable interpretations. At times, the opera singer wears her dark hair reddish black with curls and at other times her hair is brownish black and artfully pinned up to a chignon if it is not pitch-black and straight. With her large dark eyes and her porcelain complexion Anna can well afford the high-contrast hair colour, which emphasises every detail of her face.
If you like to try before you fully engage in the black hair trend you can use intensive tinting to gradually approach the darker hair colour. The new ammonia-free hair colour formulations achieve a deep black colour but wash out within six to eight weeks.
