  • There is hardly a better occasion than a wedding to activate your creativity and style and create your most convivial look. Naturally, centre stage must belong to the newlyweds. We suggest playful and festive hairstyles, which are fit for the celebration but do not steal the show from the bride and groom

Most young couples plan their wedding style, their attires and hairstyles a long time in advance, while wedding guests are more spontaneous about their appearances. Still, the festive character and the style of a wedding are important style and hair styling considerations for wedding guests. We want to help you find the right style for festive events.

  • Beautiful Hairstyles for Wedding Guests

Perfect hairstyles for wedding guests reflect the festive nature and style of the event but they do not dominate the scene. On the practical side, wedding celebrations last a few hours and your hairstyle should not give up its spark midway through the reception. With the help of our hairstyle suggestions you can meet all these requirements. The hairstyle choices include wavy or sleek hair, artful bobs and festive updos with hair accessories and jewellery.

Stars and celebrities frequently attend galas and other festive parties. Many have their hair styled by professionals. Is it any wonder that they are an almost inexhaustible source of hairstyle ideas for wedding guests? In our photo above, Rachel Bilson demonstrates how festive and pretty casual beach waves with braided hairstyle elements can look.

You may find your next styling idea for a festive occasion in our gallery. In his video, Armin Morbach demonstrates how to style three different chignon versions.

Hairstyles for Wedding Guests: Asymmetric Braided Hairstyle

Nicole Kidman’s romantic and playful hairstyle is ideal for wedding guests. The styling is quick and easy.

Instructions: Create a side parting and then French braid your hair on both sides of your head. Nicole Kidman’s French braids meet on the side where she parted her hair. (As you form the French braid along the side and neckline, small strands of hair are successively included in the braid.) Gather the ends of the two braids and secure them using a scrunchy. You may like to hide the scrunchy underneath a pretty hair band.

Hairstyles for Wedding Guests: Faux Bob

All but the sleeked back hair on the side opposite the large hair fold on Jessica Biel’s right side falls in large waves. Many variations of this hairstyle with and without hair accessories or jewellery are possible. This provides countless ways to show your creativity.

Instructions: The hair next to the side parting is sleeked back, while the rest of the hair falls in large waves. For the faux bob the hair is gathered into a sideways ponytail and secured using a scrunchy. Now pull the scrunchy to the end of the ponytail and fold the ponytail end under. Secure the hair ends with bobby pins. The hair is then pulled into a bob. Hairspray provides the necessary hold.

Hairstyles for Wedding Guests: Twirled Hair with Quiff

American actress Julianne Hough is known for her eye-catching hairstyles. Her twirled hairdo with quiff is certainly cool. It is also festive enough for wedding guests. The bobby pins in the back of her head secure the twirls and serve as unusual style element.

Instructions: Start by creating a side parting. Then take an about 4''-wide strand of hair above the forehead and keep it out of the way while you style the rest of your hair. The hair in the back of your head is styled first. Apply styling mousse to your hair and twirl it strand by little strand. Every strand is secured with bobby pins. There is no need to hide the bobby pins. They are part of the style. Now you are ready to style the hair above the forehead. Roll this strand of hair onto a large-diameter roller or curling iron. This gives this front hair the needed bounce and volume. The front hair is then styled into a quiff. The ends of the front hair are twirled and combined with the twirls in the back of the head.

Hairstyles for Wedding Guests: Sleek Ponytail

Sleek ponytail variations show no sign of going out of style. Jessica Lowndes demonstrates how well this elegant hairstyle is suited for wedding guests.

Instructions: Create a middle parting and comb your hair straight. Gather the straight hair into a ponytail and secure it with a scrunchy. A strand of hair is then pulled out of the ponytail and wrapped around the ponytail base. For the alluring shimmer you may want to distribute hair wax in the palms of your hand and stroke your hair or apply extra-gloss hairspray.
